 We had a Christmas eve dinner at home tonite with turkey, escargots, smoked salmon etc., and, of course, baby had a share of some of those tasty food. We only had a small party of 7 (including baby), thus, it’s not a frantic Chistmas party, it’s only a chit-chat dinner. But baby very much enjoyed it and would like to join in the conversation whenever she felt right or high.Â
With a couple of unsuccessful attempts by Daddy to put baby to sleep, we gave in and Davina won a seat in the adult forum at around 11pm. Gossiping continued and she enjoyed it till the end at around 11:30pm. She said bye to aunties and uncles… sweet sleep. A busy day and first taste of her Merry Christmas.

After school, bb was being invited to a baby gathering. Though she’s already quite tired after the school session, owing to the sincere invitation, we decided to drop by. The gathering was thrown by her “classmate” at Gymboree who lives at an almost 3,000sf staff quarter at Matilda. When we arrived, some of her “classmates” were already there playing. After we fed bb some cheese & potatoes, we let her off to play.
It’s really the first time bb played with other babies, ’cause at Gymboree, they did a standard run down of games where babies just follow but there’s not much interaction among them. Here at the baby gathering, bb got to share toys with the other babies. Obviously, she hasn’t yet comprehend the concept of “sharing” : 3 babies sitting together, all eyed on the same rattle. Her classmate got the rattle first. Slowly & gently, baby reached over, grabbed the rattle and pull it away from her classmate. Soon after then, another baby (also in slow motion) snatched it away from bb.Â
Strange enough, no babies shown any sign of anger, but all looked puzzled as if asking “why does this happen ??”
